Jeanine Ferris Pirro (born June 2, 1951) is an American television host, author and former New York State prosecutor, judge, and politician. Pirro was the host of the Fox News Channel's Justice with Judge Jeanine until 2022, when she became co-host of The Five. She was a regular contributor to NBC News and made frequent appearances on The Today Show. Also, she was the first judge of female gender to be elected in Westchester County, New York.Pirro was elected the first female district attorney for Westchester County. In her position as district attorney Pirro gained visibility in cases of domestic violence and criminal acts against seniors. Pirro was briefly a candidate for the Republican nomination for United States Senate to run against Hillary Clinton in 2006, however, she resigned in order to accept the nomination of New York Attorney General; she was defeated in the general election by Democrat Andrew Cuomo.
