Serena Jameka Williams (born September 26 1981) is an American professional tennis player who is not active. One of the most renowned tennis players of all time She was ranked as the world's No. 1 in singles by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) for 319 weeks, including an all-time record of 186 consecutive weeks, and ended the year as No. 5 times. The parents Oracene and Richard Williams coached her. She took home 23 Grand Slam singles titles. This is the most she has ever had in the Open Era. In 1995, she turned a professional and won her first major singles title at US Open 1999. She was dominant from 2002's French Open to 2003 Australian Open. She was also the winner of two other singles majors during the following few years, but she was injured and began to lose form.
