Jeff Bezos

 Jeff Bezos is an American businessman, philanthropist and space explorer who is probably best-known for creating Amazon.com. Jeff Bezos, the founder, chief executive officer and president of Amazon.com, is also the chairman of the company's board. In July 2017 he was named the most powerful person in the world beating Bill Gates for the first time. Between October 2017 and January 20,21 he was the richest person on earth. At his peak he owned the equivalent of 80 million shares in Amazon. As part of his April 2019 divorce settlement with MacKenzie Bezos, Jeff transferred 19.7 million shares to his ex-wife. At the date of the transfer the shares were valued at $36 billion. The settlement decreased Jeff's net worth from $150 billion to $114 billion. Jeff was also a investor prior to the IPO of Google.com and has around $1 billion worth of shares in the company now known as Alphabet Inc.This was before his divorce so he still had the equivalent of 80 million shares. At that valuation Jeff's net worth was the all-time record of $170 billion.
