ulie Newmar (born Julia Chalene Newmeyer 16 August 1933) is an American actress, dancer, and singer, known for a variety of stage, screen, and TV roles. She also writes, lingerie designer, and real-estate mogul. For her portrayal as Katrin Sveg, she won the Tony Award as Best Featured actress in a Play. She also reprised the character in The Marriage-Go-Round in 1961. She appeared in two seasons of Batman (1966-1967) in the role of Catwoman in the 1960s. Other stage credits include Ziegfeld Follies (1956) and Lola in Damn Yankees! In 1961, Irma la Douce (1965) in regional productions. Newmar also appeared in the music video of George Michael's 1992 hit single, "Too Funky", and she was a guest actor in the film of 1995 To Wong Foo: Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar. Julie Newmar is the eldest of three kids born to Don (Jesmer), Newmeyer.
