Andrew Dean East (born September 17, 1991) is an ex- American football long snapper. He played in the NCAA football tournament at Vanderbilt and has been a part of several NFL teams, including Washington Redskins.East was named captain of the North Central High School football team in Indianapolis, Indiana. East was a three-year player on the defense and special team of the 5A school in Indianapolis. In his sophomore year, he played at the linebacker position. He also recorded 110 tackles during his senior season. East was the All-Around Area linebacker, and he was also an offensive long-snapper in his senior year. As a starter, he contributed 64 tackles for the defense, and seven quarterback sacks. He also received the Indiana Academic All-State honors award.East is married to Olympic gymnast and gold medalist Shawn Johnson. East and Johnson were engaged at Wrigley Field on July 24 in 2015. They were wedding in Franklin, Tennessee on April 16th, 2016. The couple reside in Nashville, Tennessee. The couple have two children: a daughter born in October 2019; and a son who was born in July 2021.
