Earl Simmons, born December 18, 1970, and died on April 9 2021. He was also known as DMX (shorthand for "Dark Man X") and an actor. His debut album called It's Hot and Dark was released in 1998 to great critical and commercial success. The album sold over 251,000 copies within the first week. DMX released his top-selling album, ... And Then There Was X, in 1999, which included the hit song "Party Up (Up in Here)". His singles "Where the Hood At?" and "X Gon Give It to You?" in 2003 were also hugely popular. Commercially, his 2003 singles "Where the Hood Is?" and "X Gon"Give It to Ya?" were also highly popular. He was the first artist in history to debut an album at No.1 on the Billboard 200 charts five times consecutively. In total, DMX sold over 74 million albums worldwide.DMX was featured in movies like Belly, Romeo Must Die, Exit Wounds, Cradle 2 the Grave and Last Hour.
