DMX

 Earl Simmons, born December 18, 1970, died on April 9, 2021. He was well-known as DMX (shorthand for "Dark Man X"), an actor and rapper hailing from the United States. He started his rap career in the late 1990s. He made his debut album, It's Dark and Hell is Hot in 1998 to great critical acclaim and commercial success. The album sold 251,000 copies in the first week of release. In 1999, DMX released... and then there was X. The album featured the smash hit track "Party Up (Up here)". The 2003 singles "Where the Hood At?" Commercially as well as his singles from 2003 "Where the Hood At?" and "X Gon' give it to Ya?" were also highly successful. The artist was the first to release an album that reached No.1 five times in consecutive weeks in the Billboard 200 charts. DMX was the first artist to release an album at No.1 five times in consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200 chart. In 2006, he starred in the reality TV series DMX: Soul of a Man, which was primarily broadcast by the BET cable television network. He released E.A.R.L., his memoirs in 2003. : The Autobiography of DMX.
