Kaya Rose Scodelario Davis (nee Humphrey) is an English actress. She is best known for her performances in Effy Stonem's E4 drama Skins (2007-2010 and 2013), as well as Teresa in the Maze Runner movie series (2014-2018). Other roles include Catherine Earnshaw in Andrea Arnold's Wuthering Heights (2011), Carina Smyth in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017), Carole Ann Boone in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile (2019), Haley Keller in Crawl (2019), Katarina Baker in the Netflix original series Spinning Out (2020) and Claire Redfield in Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (2021).In 2007 when she was 14 and with no prior acting experience, Scodelario was chosen for the first season of Skins as Effy Stonem. When she auditioned, Scodelario was disappointed because she thought she was not old enough, however, a producer urged her to keep going and asked her to read for the role. Although Scodelario was not allowed to speak much in the first series however, she improved her character significantly during the second series.
