Farrah Leni Fawcett (born Ferrah Leni Fawcett; February 2 1947 - 25 June 2009) was an American actress. Fawcett was a four-time Primetime Emmy Award nominee as in addition to the recipient of a six-time Golden Globe Award nomination. She gained international recognition when she starred in the debut season of Charlie's Angels. She appeared in numerous television series in the 1970s along with Lee Majors, her husband, who was a film and television actor. The iconic red swimsuit poster sold six million copies during the first year of its printing. Her most famous role was that of Jill Munroe, a private investigator in Charlie's Angels. Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson also starred in the show. The show catapulted all three actresses to stardom. Fawcett left Charlie's Angels after appearing in the very first season of the show in 1976.
