Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has been able to make significant progress towards Latin pop. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Most Popular Song in the year 2017. The year after Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and released ADN for his debut full-length album. On the Top Latin Albums chart, it ranked no. 8. He then joined Ozuna on his Top Five smash Vaina Loca. He released Dopamina the chart-topping sophomore album the following year. In 2021 he produced a duet for TINI's hit song Maldita Foto. 2023 was the year 2000 when the hit song La Bachata was released. Turizo comes from an musical family, as both his mother and elder brother are also musicians. In interviews, he referred to his participation in music as compulsory. As a child, he played the ukulele guitar as well as piano.
