 Julianne Moore is an American-British actress who has a wealth of $55 million. Since the beginning of 1990, Moore became famous for her portrayals of emotionalally disturbed women. In the year 2020, The New York Times listed her at number 11 on its listing of the 25 Greatest actors of the 21st Century.Julianne Moore was born on December 3, 1960, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Moore was raised in a military household. She is the eldest child in a family of three and is the child of Peter Moore Smith a U.S. Army paratrooper and his mother Anne who was a Scottish psychologist and social worker born in Greenock in Scotland that immigrated in 1951 in 1951 to the U.S. Due to her father's occupation, Moore moved around frequently and spent time in Alabama, Texas, Georgia, Panama, Nebraska, Alaska among others. Moore was a student at nine schools and has said that moving around constantly resulted in her being a shy child, who found it difficult to make new friends. At the age of 16, Moore reached the age of 16 and her family relocated away from Virginia to Frankfurt to West Germany where Moore attended Frankfurt American High School. Her original plan was to become a doctor and she had never considered performing or being in a theater. Her reading hobby later led to her desire to be involved in theater and she performed in a variety of productions at her high school including "Tartuffe as well as Medea." Moore received praise from her after that performance.
