Walt Disney was an American film screenwriter, producer, director and voice actor. He was also an animator, voice actor and entrepreneur. He was also an entertainer, entrepreneur an international icon, and philanthropist. After inflation adjustments Disney's net worth was estimated at $1 billion at the time of his death in the year 1966. The value of his various assets was at between $100 and 150 million in the year 1966 dollars. This amounts to $750 million-$1.1 billion in today's dollars. After inflation adjustment the stake he held in Disney Production Company was worth around $600 million. The stake he held in Walt Disney Inc. was also the biggest. The company was established in 1953 to oversee Disney's design and intellectual property. In the event of his death, he gave his wife and children with 45% of the proceeds in an estate trust, and 10% to his nephews and nieces.
