Nikola Jokic (Serbian Cyrillic: Nikola Jokitsh, pronounced [nikola Jokitc[listen] (listen) born the 19th of February, 1995) is a Serbian professional basketball player who is an offensive center for the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is a four-time NBA All-Star and was named to the All-NBA Team four times, including three first-team selections. He also took home the NBA Most Valuable Player Award for the 2021-22 as well as the 2020-21 seasons. He is the representative of Serbia's national team. He is known as "the Joker",[3The Joker, also known as the 3 Jokic, was selected by the Nuggets during the second round of the 2014 NBA draft. He was selected to the NBA All-Rookie First Team in 2016. The 2018-19 NBA season, when he guided the Nuggets to the Western Conference Semifinals, he was awarded his first All-Star and All-NBA First Team selections. He was given All-Star and All-NBA honors the next season, while also leading the team to the Western Conference Finals. Jokic is one of the most elite 10 NBA players with the most number of triple-doubles (regular and playoffs). Jokic is also the top European center as well as player.
