 American actor William Michael Zabka (/zaebk@/; October 20, 1965) He is most well-known for his performance as Johnny Lawrence in The Karate Kid (1984), The Karate Kid Part II (1986) and the television series Cobra Kai (2018-present). In 2004 he was nominated for an Academy Award for co-writing and producing the short film Most.Zabka was born in New York City, the son of Nancy, an executive liaison, producer, and production assistant as well as Stan Zabka, a director as well as a writer and composer. He is the brother and sister of one brother. His father, a Czech-born Czech national, was born in Des Moines in Iowa. He was an assistant director on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson for the first two years. Zabka was also a co-star in The Equalizer, starring as the son and title character (1986-1989). Zabka also played Jack, Audrey's jock boyfriend in National Lampoon's European Vacation (1985). Later, he tried to escape the role of class bully.
