 American producer and director Ken Burns has a net worth $3.5 million. American filmmaker Ken Burns is well-known for his numerous documentaries and documentary shows on historical topics. Some of his most well-known films include "The Civil War," "Jazz," "Prohibition," "The Roosevelts," and "The Vietnam War." Burns' filmmaking style is famous for his slow zooms into and out of images and footage from archives. This technique is referred to as"the "Ken Burns effect". "Burns is also awarded over 20 honorary degrees. The film he directed "The Civil War" was a huge success, winning over 40 important film and television awards, won two Emmy Awards and two Grammy Awards, Producer of the Year Award (from the Producers Guild of America) as well as a People's Choice Award and a Peabody Award. He also was awarded the duPont–Columbia Prize and an D. W. Griffith Award. The $50,000 Lincoln Prize was awarded to him. His 2017 documentary "The Vietnam War" was equally lauded.There is a Ken Burns Wing at the Jerome Liebling Center for Film, Photography and Video at Hampshire College. Burns was recognized with the S. Roger Horchow award for the most outstanding public service performed by an individual in 2004. This is an award that the Jefferson Awards gives out each year.
