 American televangelist Kenneth Max Copeland was born December 6, 1936. The organization he established in 1967, Eagle Mountain International Church Inc. (EMIC), is located in Tarrant County, Texas. Copeland's sermons are broadcast across the US and around the world via the Victory Channel. Copeland is also the author of several books and resources. The prosperity gospel is his message and is part of Word of Faith. Copeland has stated that parishioners will get an "hundredfold" return for their investment when they give to God. He has been criticised for his use of donations as well as tax-exempt status to fund luxury mansions, private jets as well as other extravagant purchases.During the COVID-19 epidemic in 2020, Copeland claimed that the disease had been eliminated or was about to end, and his fans would soon be healed from the virus. Copeland stated that his followers must continue to pay tithes even if their jobs were lost in the economic crisis caused by the epidemic.
