American producer and director Ken Burns has a net worth $3.5 million. Ken Burns is an American filmmaker who is famous for his many documentaries as well as documentary series that cover a range of historical topics. The most well-known of his works are "The Civil War," Jazz," Prohibition," The Roosevelts," and the "Vietnam War." Burns' filmmaking style is known for his use of slow zooms into and out of photographs and archive footage. The technique is known as the "Ken Burns effect". Burns has been awarded over 20 honorary degrees. His film "The Civil War" has won more than 40 important television and film awards, including two Emmy Awards, two Grammy Awards, Producer of the Year Award from the Producers Guild of America, and a People's Choice Award, a Peabody Award, a duPont-Columbia Award and a D. W. Griffith Award, and the $50,000 Lincoln Prize. His documentary from 2017 "The Vietnam War" was equally lauded.There is the Ken Burns Wing at the Jerome Liebling Center for Film, Photography and Video at Hampshire College. Burns was given the S. Roger Horchow award for greatest public service by an individual in 2004, an award that Jefferson Awards gives out each year.
