Denki was an Japanese student, who like many others aged his age, aspired be a hero of the world in the future. Even though he was able produce electricity and alter it to some degree, Electrification was his unique ability. But, he was learning a lot before he could master the art of Electrification. At the age of fifteen, Kaminari earned admittance into the hero program at U.A. High School, which is an institution that strives to create new heroes. He was enrolled in Class 1-A, which is 20 students with similar goals. Kyle Phillips voices him in the English version. Kyle Phillips previously voiced Yuma Sukumo in Yu-Gi-Oh! The former also voiced by Yuma Tsukumo on Yu-Gi-Oh! Also, he is a supporting character in the anime film My Hero Academia, Two Heroes and the 2019 animated movie My Hero Academia.
