David Ortez

 David Ortiz, a Dominican-born professional baseball player, is an estimated net worth of $55 million. David Ortiz is most famous for his time with the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball. He is a seven time All-Star player, and also has the Red Sox's single season record for the total number of home runs during a normal season, with 54. In 2005, Ortiz was awarded with a plaque that called him "the greatest clutch hitter in the history of the Boston Red Sox. "David Ortiz" often referred to as "Big Papi", is a Dominican Republic native who was born in Santo Domingo on November 18, 1975. On June 11, 2008 he became an American citizen in Boston. He is the oldest of four children of Enrique Ortiz and Angela Rosa Arias. He was inspired by the great pitcher Ramon Martinez growing up as in addition to Ramon's older brother Pedro Martinez, who is also a well-known MLB player with the Red Sox.Ortiz was signed by the Seattle Mariners in November 1992 after he graduated from Estudia Espaillat High School in the Dominican Republic. He was 17 years old when he signed his contract ten days after signing the contract. He played baseball with the Mariners farm team, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.
