Rebbeca Marie Gomez (born on March 2nd 1997), known professionally as Becky G, is an American actor and singer. She gained notoriety in 2011 after she began posting videos of her singing popular songs on the internet. Dr. Luke noticed one of her videos and offered her an agreement with Kemosabe Records as well as RCA Records. While working on her debut album Gomez collaborated with fellow artists will.i.am, Cody Simpson and Cher Lloyd. The debut track, "Becky from the Block", was released in 2013 and received a favourable reviews. In the same year, she released her first extended play, Play It Again. The second and first single from 2014, "Can't Get Enough" was a smash. Pitbull performed guest vocals on the track. The year 2014 saw Gomez also dropped "Shower" that reached the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. The song would go on to receive an award of multi platinum from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) which signifies two million units sold in the country.
