Ayn Rand was a famous Russianwriter, a well-known Russian American novelist writer, philosopher, screenwriter and Conservative/ Libertarian political activist who was most well-known for her work on The Fountainhead (1943) and Atlas Shrugged (1957). Wealthy Jewish parents brought her to life in Saint Petersburg, Russia, on February 2, 1905. Ayn Rand, originally Alissa Zinovna Rosenbaum. Her most well-known accomplishment is her work as a novelist. Her philosophical system, Objectivism, is also well-known. Rand passed away in New York City on 6 March 1982.She started her schooling at the prestigious Stoiunina School in New York City. She began writing from the age of eight. Although her parents tried to protect their daughters from the political turmoil which was taking place at the time, Alisa gradually developed her opinions and was a proponent of an elected republican government over constitutional monarchy. At the age of 9, Rand decided to become a writer, inspired especially by the novels of Victor Hugo. So, during the time of the "February Revolution" broke out in Saint Petersburg in 1917, the 12 year old Alisa favored Alexander Kerensky over Tsar Nicholas II. However, as the 'October Revolution' started at the end of 1917, their life as a family was totally interrupted. Her father's business was taken by the Bolsheviks and her family fled to the Crimea to begin an entirely new life.
