Gomez began her acting career with the popular children's TV show Barney & Friends (2002-2004). In her teens she became famous in the role of Alex Russo on the Disney Channel television series Wizards of Waverly Place (2007-2012). Gomez has also been featured in a variety of films that included Another Cinderella Story (2008) and Princess Protection Program (2009). She was also featured in Ramona and Beezus (2010) and Spring Breakers (2012). Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016). A Rainy Day in New York (2018). Her credits as a voice actor include the role of Mavis in Hotel Transylvania (2012-2022).
