Sarah Michelle Prinze, nee Gellar, /'gel@r/GHEL-@r; was born April 14th, 1977. She is an American actor and producer. She was spotted in New York City at age four, and made her TV acting debut in An Invasion of Privacy (1983). An important role on the teen drama series Swans Crossing (1992) was followed by her portrayal as Kendall Hart on the ABC daytime soap opera All My Children (1993-1995) in which she received the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress in an Drama Series.Gellar was recognized internationally for her role as Buffy Summers on the WB/UPN television show Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2003), which brought five Teen Choice Awards, a Saturn Award, and a Golden Globe Award nomination. Her most popular films include I Know What You Did The Last Summer (1997), Scream 2 (1997), Cruel Intentions (1999), Scooby-Doo (2002), Scooby-Doo 2 : Monsters Unleashed (2004) and The Grudge (2004).
