Matt Brown

 Matthew Burton Brown (born January 10, 1981) is an American mixed martial artist who is currently fighting in the Welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Professionally competitive since 2004 Brown was a contestant on the seventh season of The Ultimate Fighter television series and holds the current record for most knockouts during UFC Welterweight history.Brown was born and was raised in Jamestown, Ohio. After being educated at home for two years, Brown went to Greeneview High School where he struggled to make friends. Brown was raised in a small community without any hope of his career. Brown worked as a machinist in a low-paying factory. Brown was addicted to methamphetamine and used cocaine regularly, and often got into fights at parties. In his early twenties, he had suffered a heroin overdose that gave him the nickname "The Immortal", was homeless, and was taken to prison. Brown's passion for MMA began with a night of drunkenly executing different submission techniques that were shown on VHS films featuring Ken Shamrock on friends.
