 Keanu Charles Reeves, /ki'a'nu/ keeAHnoo (born September 2, 1964) was born September 2nd, 1964 in Toronto. He is an actor from Canada. Reeves was born in Beirut and was raised in Toronto. He began his acting career in theatre productions before becoming a television actor. His feature film debut was in Youngblood (1986). Reeves's first big role came in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989), which he reprised in its sequels. He was praised for his role as a hustler in the independent drama My Own Private Idaho (1991) and established himself as an action hero by playing the lead roles in Point Break (1991) and Speed (1994).Following numerous box office failures, Reeves's performance in the horror film The Devil's Advocate (1997) was well-received. He was most famous for his role as Neo in the Matrix's science fiction show that he started in 1999. He was the lead character in John Constantine in Constantine (2006) and The Lake House (2006). He also appeared in The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008).
