Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson (born 15 April 1990) is an English actress and activist. She is famous for her work in blockbuster films and independent films as well as her work for women's rights. Watson has received numerous awards, including the Young Artist Award and three MTV Movie Awards. Watson has been ranked among the world's highest-paid actresses by Forbes and Vanity Fair, and was listed as among the top 100 most influential people by Time magazine in 2015.Watson attended the Dragon School and trained in acting at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts. After her role in the Harry Potter films as Hermione Granger, Watson ascended to stardom as a child. Her previous roles were limited to performed in school productions. Watson was also featured in the TV adaptation of the novel Ballet Shoes and lent her voice to The Tale of Despereaux (2008). Following the final Harry Potter film, Watson appeared in a role as a support on My Week with Marilyn (2011). She then starred as Sam who was a flirtatious character.
